Mono-Red Prowess is an extremely fast burn-adjacent deck with Sunspine Lynx, Screaming Nemesis, and a full removal suite, so top-heavy cards like Quantum Riddler need to come out for cheap interaction. Change the Equation can counter their red spells with mana value 6 or less, hitting virtually their entire deck including Sunspine Lynx, while Spell Pierce taxes their removal and burn on the crucial early turns. Boomerang Basics is too slow when you need to stabilize immediately, and every mainboard removal spell (Torch the Tower, Academic Dispute) is still fine here since their creatures are small. Prioritize surviving to the midgame where Fear of Missing Out and Vivi Ornitier take over.
