Dimir Midrange is grindy with Thoughtseize, Fatal Push, and card-advantage engines like Stormchaser's Talent and Narset, Parter of Veils, so Magebane Lizard punishes their many cheap noncreature spells while blocking Graveyard Trespasser favorably. Weathered Runestone denies their Boomerang Basics-into-recast value loops only partially since Boomerang isn't graveyard-based, but it does shut down any harmonize-style recursion and graveyard casting, slowing their long-game grind. Kumano Faces Kakkazan and Monstrous Rage are too fragile against their removal-heavy mainboard (Fatal Push, Nowhere to Run, Sheoldred's Edict) which easily 2-for-1s you. Keep your burn suite to pressure Narset, Parter of Veils and their Thoughtseize-backed hand before they stabilize.
