Selesnya Landfall's key engine pieces, Earthbender Ascension and Mightform Harmonizer, cost 3 or more, so additional copies of Requiting Hex (which only hits mana value 2 or less) are largely dead and get trimmed. Guerrilla Gorilla's sacrifice ability can destroy Earthbender Ascension outright, directly disrupting their primary payoff. Duress proactively strips a key enchantment or threat from their hand before it resolves, since once Earthbender Ascension or Ba Sing Se is online the game gets difficult. Fanatical Offering is too slow to keep pace with their landfall value engine.
