Deathmark is efficient removal against their white and green creatures, answering Iron-Shield Elf and Hardened Academic at just one mana. Intimidation Tactics disrupts their combat step, potentially forcing poor blocks or preventing key attacks from creatures with counters like Hardened Academic. Nowhere to Run permanently exiles a key threat such as Bloodghast, which is otherwise difficult to permanently answer with conventional removal. Duress should be used early to strip Practiced Offense or Strategic Betrayal from their hand before they can generate advantage with it.
