Izzet Leyline Aggro floods the board with cheap creatures like Elusive Otter and Stadium Headliner and pumps them with Ancestral Anger and Wild Ride, so you need blockers and removal rather than hand disruption. Preacher of the Schism is a deathtouch wall that trades with anything they attack with and generates card advantage on your turns, while the extra M.O.D.O.K. shrinks their small creatures with its static -1/-1 and provides lifelink to stabilize. Duress does little against a deck full of instants and creatures they'll just deploy anyway. Your sweepers (Day of Black Sun, Deadly Cover-Up) are premium here to reset a wide, aggressive board.
