Sultai Control has almost no creatures, relying instead on Stock Up, Consult the Star Charts, and a deep removal and counterspell suite, so Day of Judgment stays in the sideboard and we instead load up on our own card advantage and countermagic to win the long game. Spell Pierce and Disdainful Stroke protect our Jeskai Revelation and Thor, God of Thunder from their Deadly Cover-Up and The End, while Spell Pierce also counters Maelstrom Pulse, and Ral, Crackling Wit gives us a resilient win condition that dodges their creature-focused removal. Price of Freedom strips a nonbasic land, disrupting their three-color manabase built on Verge lands and slow-entering duals. It'll Quench Ya! and Iroh's Demonstration are dead weight since there's rarely a creature to answer and a soft counter is worse than a hard one in a control mirror.
