Magebane Lizard punishes their heavy noncreature suite (Bitter Triumph, Shoot the Sheriff, Requiting Hex, We Say Thee Nay!, Kaito) by dealing damage every time they cast one, and its 4 toughness blocks Floodpits Drowner well, though it can't block flyers like Dream Beavers and Spyglass Siren. Keep in mind it triggers on your own noncreature spells too. Hexing Squelcher makes your spells uncounterable, which blanks Spell Snare and We Say Thee Nay!, and gives your other creatures WardβPay 2 life, making their removal more costly. Plasma Bolt stays in because it kills Floodpits Drowner, The Wondrous Wasp, Dream Beavers and Spyglass Siren outright, and it can also pressure Kaito. Instead, cut Tomik, whose prowess upside is less relevant against a deck full of removal that kills him before he grows, and two Stingcaster Mage, a fragile 2/1 that dies to their cheap removal. Requiting Hex can only destroy creatures with mana value 2 or less, so lean on higher-cost threats like Nova Hellkite and Tersa Lightshatter against it; Bitter Triumph forces them to discard a card or pay 3 life, which plays into your burn.
