WBR is an aggressive creature deck with cheap threats like Iron-Shield Elf, Marauding Mako, and Bloodghast, making Slagstorm's 3 damage a strong sweeper against their early curve. Sear cleanly answers bigger threats like Carnage, Crimson Chaos or Casey Jones, Vigilante, and Magebane Lizard both blocks well on the ground and punishes their noncreature spells like Cool but Rude. Hired Claw and Razorkin Needlehead don't hold up defensively against this aggressive matchup where we need to stabilize rather than race with small bodies. Broadside Barrage is replaced by cheaper, more efficient removal to survive their early pressure.
