Bant Control leans on card-advantage engines like Up the Beanstalk and Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student plus a deep counterspell suite, so cheap, efficient threats and removal matter more than a big top-end. Dismember answers Tamiyo or Phelia cheaply, giving us efficient interaction against their creature suite. Null Rod has minor impact but is fine incidental value against Tamiyo's Clue tokens. We trim Sire of Seven Deaths since it's easily answered by Swords to Plowshares or Leyline Binding, and cut some Lotus Petals since our mainboard Chalice of the Void already punishes their Brainstorm/Ponder-heavy spell suite.
