Izzet Delver races with Dragon's Rage Channeler and Murktide Regent behind Force of Will and Daze; Lightning Bolt and Abrade kill Dragon's Rage Channeler before it grows and Abrade can destroy an artifact like Cori-Steel Cutter. Spell Pierce punishes their Daze-protected plays and taxes a key spell like Flow State or a late Murktide Regent when they're tapped out from fetching. We cut the clunkier Pinnacle Emissary and some cantrips since this matchup is about efficient interaction and not falling behind on tempo. Watch for Wasteland disrupting our nonbasic lands.
