Death and Taxes brings heavy mana disruption with four Wasteland and three Karakas plus Thoughtseize, and a low curve of efficient white creatures, so resilient mana and proactive discard are key. Boseiju, Who Endures can blow up a Karakas or another problematic nonbasic land via its channel ability, all while being immune to their lack of maindeck countermagic. A second Thoughtseize lets us strip their Swords to Plowshares or Thoughtseize before they can disrupt our hand, since this matchup is a race against efficient white removal and disruption rather than countermagic. We trim fetchlands for the Boseiju upgrades and cut the clunky Song of Creation, which discards our hand each turn against a deck that punishes slow starts with Wasteland.
