Ruby Storm wants to chain cheap rituals and cantrips like Desperate Ritual, Pyretic Ritual, and Manamorphose into a Grapeshot or Past in Flames kill, so taxing and disrupting their mana is key. Damping Sphere directly punishes their ritual-heavy, multi-spell-per-turn plan by taxing each additional spell cast in a turn. Wear/Tear's artifact mode has no relevant targets here since they run no artifacts, but its enchantment mode can destroy Artist's Talent if they bring it in, and more importantly Wear can still be cast as the artifact half against sideboarded hate pieces; treat it mainly as flexible instant-speed interaction. Thraben Charm and Static Prison are weak since they have almost no creatures to target; prioritize applying maximum pressure with Ragavan and Ocelot Pride to force them to combo off before they're ready, since this deck has very little interaction once you're ahead on board.
