Esper Control is loaded with Solitude, Teferi, Narset, counterspells, and sweepers like Supreme Verdict, so Silence is excellent at protecting our storm turn from Spell Snare, Force of Negation, or a flashed-in Solitude. Stormscale Scion gives a resilient flying threat and copies off storm count that dodges Narset's draw restriction by just winning through combat damage if the combo gets disrupted. Artist's Talent is too slow against a deck full of cheap efficient answers, and Valakut Awakening is tempo-negative against their proactive disruption suite. Keep Past in Flames and the rituals since out-resourcing their one-for-one answers is still the primary plan.
