Jund Wildfire is a grindy value deck rather than a fast clock, so Weather the Storm's life gain (amplified by Storm during our big turns) helps offset their incidental damage from sacrifice triggers and buys time to assemble our combo. Origin of Metalbending can destroy an artifact like Lembas to disrupt their card-draw engine, or protect one of our own creatures with a +1/+1 counter and indestructible. Seize the Storm and First Day of Class are cut since this matchup is more about resolving our storm turn uninterrupted than grinding incremental value. Our proactive plan should outpace their slower engine if we combo by turn 5-6.
