Mono-Red Aggro is a pure burn and creature race, so Duress does nothing to stop their damage output and is too slow to matter. Preacher of the Schism's deathtouch and 4 toughness make it an excellent wall against Hired Claw and Taurean Mauler while gaining card advantage to close the gap on resources. Negate can strip a Burst Lightning or removal spell aimed at our blockers. Prioritize keeping Requiting Hex and Bitter Triumph since efficiently answering their early creatures and stabilizing the board is the entire game plan against this deck.
